“Then Peter said unto them…”

  • "Repent"

It all begins with repentance: a verbal confession of sins unto God, and a request for forgiveness of those sins that only he can give. Repentance calls for an intellectual change of views, and a voluntary change of eternal purpose

    Acts 3:19

“Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out…”

  • "And Be Baptized"

It advances to baptism: an expression of faith in God’s forgiveness through an act of obedience. Baptism calls for total physical immersion in water, and the verbal invoking of the name of Jesus Christ.

    Mark 16:16

“He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved…”

  • "Receive The Holy Ghost"

It continues with the Holy Ghost: the reception of the Spirit of God evidenced by speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives the utterance. The infilling of the Holy Ghost calls for the complete yielding of ourselves unto God.

    Acts 2:4

“And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.”

“I am the Way…”
